Popular family games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, Nerf and other Hasbro titles have shifted just over 8 million units, according to EA.

Hasbro
Since taking the Hasbro licence from Atari in 2007, EA has brought out 20 different Hasbro games on all the current platforms, including Xbox Live. Many thing have led up to the success to the Hasbro titles, such as the casual gaming market, the female gaming demographic and the appeal of the Hasbro brand.

But it’s not just family games that have help with the sales. Games such as G.I Joe and the Transformers series both have the Hasbro licence and both were very popular when their respected films hit the big screen.

It’s an impressive achievement for Hasbro, but we just wish there weren’t so many copies of Family Game Night and Littlest Pet Shop being sold. They’re not games, they’re a waste of valuable shelf space.
