As if the Wii wasn’t popular enough, Americans still want more of Nintendo’s little white box. But unfortunately, Nintendo are struggling to meet demand.

In regards to the shortages in retail store like GameStop and Best Buy, Nintendo said:

"In the short term, replenishing Wii inventories will be a challenge. But we are doing everything we can to satisfy consumers looking to purchase a Wii system."

The shortages came after the Wii was Americas best selling console during the Christmas period in 2009, selling 3.81 million units.

There hasn’t been any news of Wii shortages in Europe, so you’ve still got time to pick one up, if you haven’t already.
