Don’t worry, you’re not having a déjà vu moment, it’s just that the Australian Ratings Board have decided to ban the game, again.

Valve did submit an edited version of Left 4 Dead 2 to the board commitie and it was given an age rating of 15+. However
the OFLC in Australia has decided to ban it.

A three-member panel of the Classification Review Board (the Review Board) has unanimously determined that the computer game Left 4 Dead 2 is classified RC (Refused Classification).

In the Review Board’s opinion, Left 4 Dead 2 could not be accommodated within the MA 15+
classification. The computer game contains a level of violence which is high in impact, prolonged, repeated frequently and realistic within the context of the game.

In addition, it was the Review Board’s opinion that there was insufficient delineation between the depiction of general zombie figures and the human figures, as opposed to the clearly fictional ‘infected’ characters. This was a major consideration of the Review Board in determining the impact of this game on minors.
Left 4 Dead 2 banned... again
At this rate, the Australian version of L4D2 will be nothing more bunny rabbits, sunshine and rainbows. Wait! Do rainbows contain the colour ‘red’?… They do! Well, they can’t have those in the game. It’ll remind people of the colour of blood and ozzys wouldn’t want that, now would they?

It looks as if a new channel is going to be released on the DSi called the Speak Channel, if rumours are to be believed after the new application was mentioned on a customer support page on Nintendo’s website.
DSi
The web page no-longer mentions anything about the supposed channel but, apparently, the page used to read:

Error 206602

To redeem a Nintendo DSi Download Ticket number, such as for the Nintendo DSi Speak Channel, enter the number off the Nintendo DSi Download Ticket in 'Settings and Features' off of the main Nintendo DSi Shop page, then select 'Nintendo DSi Download Ticket.’

However, a Nintendo representative has said that "It's rumour as nothing has been announced." Come on, buddy. It sounds pretty fucking conclusive to us. Forget what the big N’s orders’ are and let everyone know about this new DSi channel… That no-one will use after the first week of downloading it.

Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer seems to have let slip a tasty bit of information about a possible add-on for a Blu-Ray disc drive.

When asked if the 360 would ever get it’s own Blu-Ray player, Ballmer responded:

"Well I don't know if we need to put Blu-ray in there - you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories."

Blu-Ray drive for Xbox 360?
Moments later, a Microsoft PR released a statement, saying:

"Our immediate solution for Blu-ray-quality video on an Xbox 360 is coming this fall with Zune Video and 1080p instant-on HD streaming. As far as our future plans are concerned, we're not ready to comment."

So is this true or false? Well, Ballmer seem quite certain that a Blu-Ray disc drive is coming soon, but we’re not ready to believe him just yet. We’ll let you know more about this story as soon as possible.

He may of accidentally revealed it, but Peter Molyneux has confirmed that Fable III will be utilising the upcoming Natal technology.

Molyneux spilled the beans during his BAFTA talk last night in London. But this isn’t the first time that Natal has been linked with Fable III. He first mentioned it whilst attending GamesCom earlier this year.
Fable III
Molyneux also confirmed, last night, that players will be able to download new equipment (such as swords and clothes) via and in-game shop, where you’ll be able to purchase your new gear through micro-transactions that will roughly cost £1. Other, larger content will cost more, though.

Molyneux said the shop is a way of trying to provide "a more harmonious relationship between a game and its downloadable content".

If you’re a Street Fighter IV fan who is having a pretty shit day, then we’re sorry to tell you, but it’s going to get worse.

According to Capcom’s community manager, Seth Killian, Super Street Fighter IV’s boss, Seth, will be a lot tougher.

“Seth will be even cheaper and more irritating than he was in SFIV. This is the most fan-responsive game in Capcom’s history."

Shigeru Miyamoto and Mario
Nintendo’s almighty Shigeru Miyamoto has recently talked about his predictions of what Nintendo plans to do after the Wii.

"With both the Wii Remote itself and Wii Motion Plus, what we've been able to do is introduce an interface that is both I think appealing and at the right price for a broad audience,” Miyamoto said.

"And while we don't have any concrete plans for what we'll be doing with hardware in the future, what I can say is that, my guess is that because we found this interface to be so interesting, I think it would be likely that we would try to make that same functionality perhaps more compact and perhaps even more cost-efficient."

Smaller and more cost-efficient than the Wii, eh? Could this mean that an HD Wii will never see the light-of-day? Quite possibly, but remember this is just what Miyamoto thinks will happen.

Namco Bandai have announced a brand new co-op shooter titled ‘Inversion’ which will be out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 next year.

You and a friend take the role of either
Davis Russel or Leo Delgado who are out to protect are from an alien invasion by the Lutadore, who wield a gravity-bending weapon. Players will use the Grappler weapon to manipulate gravity in combat and to overcome obstacles.

A spokesman from Namco Bandai explained the Grappler weapon in a little more detail.

"Grappler can be used in countless combat situations by manoeuvring massive objects as shields or projectiles, and moving camped enemies out of concealed cover so they can be blasted away."

"The Grappler is also a key tool for tactical situations and puzzle solving as players can lift, move, or create cover objects."

The first set of screen shots of the game can been seen below. We’ll bring you more info on ‘Inversion’ as we get it.
