It’s been revealed, today, that Bruce Willis has signed up to play the role of Kane in the upcoming Kane & Lynch movie.

The movies producer,
Adrian Askarieh, said:

"Kane and Lynch will start filming in March of 2010. Bruce Willis will star as Kane, and we're about to start casting Lynch,"

"Lionsgate is the distributor, Millennium is financing and the movie, after two and a half years of false starts, is finally going into production."

According to Askarieh, Bruce Willis called the film one of the best action films ever after reading the script. Well, it can’t be any worse than the long list of other video game movies, but let’s not get into all that.

As part of the newest dashboard update, Microsoft will be locking out all third party memory units so they won’t work.

The reason for the ‘lock out’ is unclear, but Microsoft’s Major Nelson has sent out a message, saying:

"When Preview Program members start receiving the Xbox 360 system update next week, one of the changes is that unauthorized Memory Units will no longer work with the Xbox 360. If you've moved your profile or saved games onto one to 'back it up,' you'd better move it back onto an authorized Xbox 360 storage device prior to taking the update. If you continue to use an unauthorized Memory Unit after the update, you will not be able to access your stored profile or saved games."

If you have one of these, sell it. Quickly
Third party peripheral company, Datel has commented on Microsoft’s decision and are deeply “disappointed”.

"If the Major Nelson blog is to be taken at face value then we're disappointed to see that Microsoft are taking these steps to prevent customers from exercising their freedom of choice.”

"Everyone is looking for ways to make their cash go further at the moment and we believe that Max Memory offers a good value, high capacity, alternative to the official Memory Unit."

It’s not very good news for third party company’s, like Datel, or gamers who already own third party

The December issue of the American Official PlayStation Magazine is rumouring that PS3 owners can expect to see a third instalment of Killzone in 2010.
Killzone 3?
Titled as ‘The Secret Games of 2010’, the article reads:

"Insider slips reveal three big names you can already pencil for the next year,"

"Killzone 3 is reportedly deep in development".

We would have expected to see Killzone 3 sometime in 2011, if we’re being honest, but it’s possible that the developers of Killzone 2, Guerrilla could already be working to the title in question.

The article also goes on to say:

"Insomniac's Full Moon Show podcast hints at a project we can only conclude is Resistance 3, and a Treyarch employee's online mentions a Call of Duty: World at World sequel.”

And there we were saying that the PS3 had too many FPS games. How wrong were we?

When we heard the news that Nintendo were bringing out black Wii remotes, Nunchuck’s and Motionplus’ we sat down and thought that they were pointless to have if you didn’t have a black Wii. But Nintendo have announced today that the black Wii will be making it’s way to the UK.

The ‘limited edition’ black Wii will be out in Europe on November 6th and will have the same contents as the recently released Wii bundle which includes the console, a Wii remote, Nunchuck, Wii Motionplus, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort.

As for matching peripherials to your brand new black Wii, they will be coming out on November 20th along with the new Classic Controller Pro - an enhanced version of the original which, basically, has a couple pieces of plastic stuck to either side of the controller in order to make it more comfortable to hold. You still have to plug the damn thing into the Wii remote, though.

Now, when are we going to see those Green, Red and Silver colours that you showed us three years ago, Nintendo?

American games retailer, GameStop, has revealed that Super Street Fighter IV will be released on March 23rd.

The retailer have also slapped a price tag of $39.99 on the game as well which, roughly, means it will be £25 over here, give-or-take.

Super Street Fighter IV is set to include eight new characters including T. Hawk, Dee Jay and newcomer Juri, along with re-balanced characters, improved online features and a brand new story to follow. Plus, if you already own SFIV you’ll be rewarded with something special, which is yet to be known.

But is £25 asking too much for an updated version of a game that came out in Febuary? Well we say, compared to all the bloody football games that come out every year at £40 then ‘No', £25 is a decent price as far as we're concerned.

The Call of Duty series has always had BBFC ratings on their games, but it has never been given an 18 rating until now.

Due to the “strong bloody violence” the BBFC has taken action of give Modern Warfare 2 their highest age rating. The Pan European Games Information (or PEGI as they are known), who do the official ratings for games, have decide to give MW2 a rating of 16+. Not that it really matters, though.

So, when the game is released on November 10th, we can pretty much guarantee that there will be a lot of pissed off kids who won’t be able to buy it. Ha-ha! In your face, children.

It looks as if ‘special’ or ‘limited’ editions of games are no-longer just home consoles, with the announcement of a limited edition version The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the DS.

The limited edition is exclusive to anyone who pre-orders the game at GAME stores nationwide and online at their website. The game comes in a steel tin which includes the game and two figurines of Link and a Phantom.

The game is out on December 11th and is certain to be a Christmas hit.

Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario, has let slip that a brand new Mario game is currently in development.

Martinet leaked the news via his Twitter account. He tweeted:

"Awesome new Mario Game! And it's not NSMB Wii, and it's not Galaxy 2, but it's going to be crazy fun!"

Seeing as the man is the voice of everyone's favourite plumber this information seems pretty trust-worthy, but Nintendo have denied that a new Mario game is in production.
